Fantastic! Your Goals and Activities
みなさん(Everyone)!
I read all of your goal statements! They are fantastic!! (if you can actually execute them^^;)
Many of you are planning to do Shadowing during this cycle, which is VERY GOOD!!
Some of you said that you will try to shadow with anime or Youtube news. Yes, you can shadow any kind of materials.
IMPORTANT!
When you shadow with anime or drama, please do not try to shadow longer than 30 seconds. It will be too difficult for you (even for me). Start shadowing with ONE phrase that you like in the anime/drama. Then you may add another phrase if you are comfortable to shadow the first phrase, and add another one, and so forth.
If you never watch Japanese anime or drama before, it is a good opportunity to take a look at some of the anime/drama sites to improve your listening or just for fun. I put a few of the websites that I often visit below, but I believe you or your classmates know better ones. If so, please post the information on your website!
DramaCrazy

AnimeCrazy

Crunchyroll

If you are looking for opportunities to speak with native speakers of Japanese, I recommend the JSA (Japanese Student Association). Please attend their first casual meeting this Friday (Oct.7) 5:30pm at Rocky dining hall. You may also send an email to Asumi (the vice president of JSA). Her email address is: ashibata@
Lastly, it is a good idea to print out your goals and activities and post it in front of your desk. \^o^/
じゃあ、がんばってくださいね!(Then, please work hard!)
